The Power of Positive Thoughts

Have you ever sat and realized how powerful your own thoughts can be?  I often wonder why it seems so natural for some to automatically think “worst case scenario” or focus on thoughts such as, “everything bad always happens to me”.  Why do so many of us choose to go down a path that fosters negativity when it is so easy to think positive thoughts and truly believe the statement, “everything will work out”?    Perhaps we are attracting such negative situations with our own thoughts and don’t seem to realize it. 

In my private practice, I’ve witnessed amazing outcomes working with clients who struggle with issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma and relationships, simply by focusing on the power of positive thoughts.   If one looks at the glass half empty, rather than half full, then the outcome will likely result in a negative situation.  But if you change your mind set, and give yourself permission to utilize positive self-talk, then you will attract positive people, experience positive situations and outcomes, and ultimately feel more fulfilled and happy.    It is a simple philosophy and technique that takes little effort.  Just set your intention and believe in it!
